Pretty Doom Good

So Doom the movie came out on DVD yesterday. It was something my roommate and I had been anticipating greatly. And I've gotta say, we were very dissappointed .. though maybe not for the reason you think.

See, we loves shitty movies. LOVES em. And we were totally dissappointed with how not shitty the movie was. The storyline was straightforward, but not overly predictable. The directing was good, the effects were good, and the battles were satisfying. The five minute first-person sequence did stick out, but it was really well done.

All in all, this movie was everything I could look for in a shoot-em-up flic. Check it out. If you're not expecting Mr. Holland's Opus as far as plot I think you'll have a good time.
